Mateo Sorribes Torres

I've been karting for two and a half years. I started, like almost everyone else, with the simulator and then with rental karts. Before making the leap to two-stroke karts, I drove almost all the karting circuits in Valencia, getting very good lap times with the rental karts, which encouraged me to try myself with bigger challenges.

I took the tests to enter a racing course offered by a karting circuit associated with the NM Motorsport karting team and I passed them on the first attempt. The course was divided into two categories (beginners and experts) and while being in the beginner category I participated in a four-stroke endurance event, together with the drivers of the expert category, taking the second position. After six classes I was transferred to the higher category, with the guys who make part of the racing team.

With the racing team I have had the opportunity to participate in five tests over the last season, driving a kart from previous years, with less performance, on different circuits.

My goals for the 2024 season are to continue improving my driving skills by carrying out a wide series of development racing tests and, at the same time, to participate in social championship races, such as those of the COPA VALLES or the CKGV (Club Karting Gas Valencia), or in federated championships such as the CKRM (Karting Championship of the Region of Murcia).
